According to The Guardian, on Saturday, a prosecutor revealed the heartbreaking news of an infant’s death in Missouri. Mariah Thomas from Kansas City has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. At this time, it is unclear if Thomas has legal representation, and her contact information is not readily available.
Authorities were alerted on Friday afternoon about an unresponsive infant. Upon arrival, responders discovered the child with visible burns. Unfortunately, the child was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a probable cause statement, a witness informed the responders that the mother mistakenly placed the infant in the oven instead of the crib while attempting to put her down for a nap. The statement did not provide further details regarding how this tragic mistake occurred.
