Nipsey Hussle’s children are set to receive their inheritance checks after a Los Angeles Superior Court judge intervened to prevent delays caused by alleged creditors.
The news, initially reported by Radar Online on Wednesday (March 20), revealed that a plea from songwriter Tasleem Yasin had been the cause of the hold-up. Yasin had requested a pause in payments until her dispute with Nipsey’s estate regarding unpaid royalties for the song “Hustle & Motivation” from his Grammy-nominated album Victory Lap was resolved.
In 2019, Yasin had filed a lawsuit against Nipsey’s estate, claiming unpaid royalties. However, the judge found insufficient evidence in Yasin’s case and decided to proceed with the inheritance payments to Nipsey’s children after reviewing the estate’s final financial report.
Nipsey Hussle’s brother and business partner, Samiel “Blacc Sam” Asghedom, submitted a comprehensive final report in 2024, confirming the resolution of all of the rapper’s financial matters. Blacc Sam had been appointed as the administrator of Nipsey’s estate following his passing in 2019.
With Nipsey’s assets valued at around $11 million, his children will receive a total of $5 million in addition to annual payments. Nipsey Hussle is survived by his two children, a daughter named Emani and a son named Kross.
