AT&T offers $5 credit to customers affected by nationwide outage last week. The outage, caused by a technical error, lasted several hours on Thursday. 

AT&T plans to give affected accounts credit for the outage as a gesture of reassurance to customers. The company acknowledges the frustration caused by the outage and aims to make it right by applying a credit to potentially impacted accounts. 

The $5 credit per AT&T Wireless account will be applied within two billing cycles. The offer does not apply to AT&T Business, AT&T Prepaid, or Cricket. AT&T is also taking steps to prevent similar outages in the future to ensure customers stay connected reliably.
