A woman, who is not named, has updated her civil lawsuit to include Jay-Z as one of the celebrities who allegedly raped her after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. The lawsuit claims that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped her when she was just 13 years old.

The woman, referred to as Jane Doe, originally filed the lawsuit in October in New York City but did not initially name all the defendants. The lawsuit now includes both Jay-Z and Diddy as accused parties. According to the updated complaint, Doe says she was assaulted after being taken to an afterparty following the VMAs.

In the lawsuit, Doe claims that both Combs and Carter drugged and raped her while another unnamed female celebrity watched at a party in a New York City home.

Jay-Z responded to the allegations on social media, calling the lawsuit a “blackmail attempt” and denying the accusations. He stated that he will not pay any money to settle the case and urged the attorney representing Doe to file criminal charges instead of a civil lawsuit. He emphasized that he believes people who commit such serious crimes against minors should be punished.

Jay-Z also expressed that he is different from other celebrities who may settle to avoid bad publicity. He described himself as a person who has overcome challenges and stated that he stands by his integrity and values.

Diddy’s legal team has also denied the allegations, claiming that the lawsuit is just a publicity stunt meant to extract money from celebrities. They maintain that Diddy has confidence in the legal process and that the truth will come out in court, asserting that he has never assaulted anyone.

The attorney for Jane Doe, Tony Buzbee, stated that the matter is serious and will be handled in court.
