An 8-year-old girl died after being stabbed by her teacher at an elementary school in South Korea. This tragic incident happened on February 10 in the city of Daejeon.
When police arrived at the school, they found the girl and her female teacher, who is in her 40s, both had stab wounds. The girl was hurt in her neck and arm and was taken to a nearby hospital, but sadly, she did not survive.
The girl was reported missing because she didn’t show up for an after-school art class. The teacher was also taken to the hospital and, while talking to the police, she reportedly admitted to stabbing the girl.
According to reports, the teacher had come back to work last year after being away for a while due to depression. It is not clear yet if she has been arrested or charged with a crime, and the reason for the stabbing is still unknown.
