The program is inclusive and caters to residents in special circumstances, such as those in assisted living facilities or individuals who have experienced significant life changes. There are no age restrictions or prerequisites for eligibility. The application period for the program was from October 12, 2023, to December 29, 2023.
Payments will be made in January, and individuals can choose to receive their benefit by paper check or direct deposit. The ANCHOR program is part of the Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters initiative and is supported by the New Jersey Government. It aims to provide much-needed financial support to eligible individuals and alleviate the burden of high living expenses.
